How to get there if you are planning a bareboat charter in Ibiza town?
One option to get here is to fly directly to the international airport which is located just 7 km from the city of Ibiza. Especially in summer it offers many connections with the big European cities.
Ibiza Town and San Antonio, Ibiza’s second largest city, also have a very good ferry connection to and from neighboring islands, as well as with the port cities of Barcelona, Valencia and Denia on the Spanish mainland. It is 100 NM to Valencia or Alicante and 160 NM to Barcelona. The neighboring island of Formentera is only 11 NM away and Mahón in Menorca, the second largest island in the Balearic Islands, about 140 NM away.

The Club Náutico San Antonio, on the west coast, 19 km from the city of Ibiza, offers another 578 moorings for boats up to 50 m. It is recently renovated and has many innovative services. And the Port of San Antonio has 245 for vessels of no more than 30 m. This popular fishing, maritime and commercial port contains a gas station and many repair services.
What can be done in Ibiza town besides sailing?
There is absolutely no shortage of fun things to do here. What many people do not know is that even in winter festivals abound, or fiestas as they are called in Spain. On January 6, the day of the Three Kings, there are large processions everywhere. Then there is San Antonio, a big Flower Power party, which normally takes place on the first Saturday following Three Kings Day. There are many more holidays in January and it is a much quieter time to visit the island. Daytime temperatures hover around 17 degrees on average, but rarely drop below freezing. You could take the opportunity to visit the beaches or places of interest with hardly any tourists in the surroundings.
