I’ve heard the name of ketosis diet many times before, I’m sure some of you have heard it too. But do you know exactly what it is? Do you know its dangers and benefits? So let me tell you all about it.

The ketosis diet is a diet based on a state of the human body called ketosis. Ketosis occurs when the body is starved of carbohydrates and begins to depend on protein, fat, and muscle for energy. In other words, a ketosis diet is a low carb / no carb diet.

In this state, the brain is telling your body to reserve glucose for emergencies only. This is because the brain understands that it is not getting enough glucose because it is not consuming enough carbohydrates. Then, as every dieter expects, the brain begins to use fat stores for all immediate energy needs. Sounds good right?

What I haven’t told you yet is that much of medical society treats ketosis as a bodily crisis. So read before you go and start a ketosis diet. The state of carbohydrate depravity is not only dangerous but is considered a bodily crisis. This will be enough to make me ban this diet for life. But if it’s not enough for you, take a look at the side effects.

The basic side effects of a ketosis diet are constant tiredness and general fatigue and similar bodily dysfunctions caused simply by not having enough glucose in your body. But other than that, it can cause life-threatening liver damage and destruction of muscle tissue. I’m sure you don’t want any of those. But wait, there’s more.

Considering the effects of a ketosis diet, it is very likely that you will not be able to follow even the simplest training regimen. And as we all know, exercising is a vital part of losing weight. So you are constantly tired, you cannot exercise because you do not have enough energy, you have many restrictions regarding what you can and cannot eat, and your body uses fat as a last resort for energy.

Ladies and gentlemen, this is called starving. Starving is in many ways a kind of disease. This disease can cause long-term damage to your body and can also affect any future dieting efforts. Please, before starting a new “promising” diet, consider it very carefully. In general, the ketosis diet is not a very pleasant process.

You have so many alternatives, so many healthy diets that offer a better lifestyle. You shouldn’t succumb to a harsh and dangerous ketosis diet.
