However, the Chiefs are a tough team to play against and the crowd at Arrowhead Stadium is among the loudest in the league. The Bengals have lost three in a streak before this one and the defense is a joke. The offense can rack up points in clusters, but this team must win shots to win games. However, the Chiefs’ defense has played very well this season and they should do enough to keep KC going in this one. This is a tough game to take because the Chiefs find themselves in a profitable back-to-back underdog scenario at home that factors in not being able to cover the first game. However, the Bengals will be eager to end the three-game skid and are coming off a bye as well. Our best advice is to beat this game if you can. THE NATIONAL TEAM: Kansas City Chiefs (+3)

6. GREEN BAY PACKERS (-3) VS. Washington Redskins: Both teams went in opposite directions last week as the Packers lost at home to the Bears while the Redskins cleaned up at home against the Lions. The Packers should come back strong here in front of the home crowd and losing back-to-back games at home is almost unheard of in the Frozen Tundra. The Redskins played amazing defense last week and this looks to be a low scoring game. However, Washington is still somewhat inconsistent on offense and the crowd will be a challenge for young quarterback Jason Campbell. The Packers are the smart play due to the fact that they won’t be making back-to-back misses at home. Go with the Packers if the line stays at -3. THE PICK: Green Bay Packers (-3)

Although they should win this one, the Raiders figure they’ll put up more of a fight than Denver. This line is inflated because of the way the Chargers won last week, but one game doesn’t erase the fact that this team struggled big during the first quarter of the year. The Raiders have been tough and competitive in all of their games and their defense is playing decent enough to keep them going. Quarterback Daunte Culpepper has also brought a spark to the offense, and his ability to run and pass has given his offense a new look. The Chargers will win but it will be closed. However, New York is playing very well and they might be hot enough to get through those downside scenarios, but the Falcons have also been playing hard since quarterback Joey Harrington started getting comfortable.
