The Caribbean is well known as the best destination for a romantic vacation for singles. But it also offers honeymooners the perfect romantic getaway. If you and your partner are looking for seclusion and exotic natural beauty, then the Caribbean offers exactly what you’re looking for. For example, take Diamond Waterfall and Garden in St. Lucia as the backdrop for your honeymoon. Garden paths through blooming tropical splendor lead to Diamond Waterfall, a sparkling waterfall that leaves a spray of sparkling diamonds in the breeze. If you and your significant other are visiting on Sunday, you can also relax in a mineral bath originally built by King Louis XVI of France. Another romantic backdrop is the Virgin Gorda Baths in the British Virgin Islands. The beach is dotted with huge granite boulders worn like the stones of a riverbed. They make shadowy caves that are perfect for secret kisses. Jamaica’s YS Falls are not as well known as Dunn’s River Falls on the north shore, but they are less visited. Cascading through lush rainforest on steps, these secluded waterfalls offer honeymooners a paradise more tranquil and romantic than Dunn’s River. The falls can be climbed to reach pools of clear water that are perfect for swimming and reflect the canopy of ferns above. Also in Jamaica, all-inclusive honeymoons are a feature of Negril’s world-famous Seven Mile Beach, which ends at sheer cliffs where couples can find one of the best sunset vantage points in the Caribbean. Rick’s Bar is the place to be for a rum punch as you watch another day in Jamaica wind down.

Puerto Rico’s Old San Juan is dotted with historical sites and is rich with the atmosphere of the ancient Spanish conquistadors. Here couples can walk hand in hand where lovers have walked for centuries, under the walls of the El Morro fortress. Curaçao’s Boca Tabla is a sea cave formed over millions of years by the strong waves of the Atlantic. Kneeling in the darkness of the sea cave, the two can watch crystal blue waves roar into the cave and then recede into the sea. Aruba’s Natural Bridge is another wave-carved formation. Couples can walk across the bridge for stunning views and cool sea spray. At Paradise Point on St. Thomas, you can ride a chairlift gondola for a spectacular view of Charlotte Amalie Harbor, dotted with boats and sailboats. The Maracas Bay vacation resorts in Trinidad are an hour’s drive from Port of Spain, through winding roads along the Cordillera del Norte with views of tropical forests teeming with capuchin and howler monkeys, parrots, ocelots and boars. Maracas Bay beach is the best in Trinidad for both singles and couples. St. Kitts South Peninsula was inaccessible except by boat until the new highway came along a few years ago. The most beautiful and pristine beaches on St. Kitts are inhabited by vervet monkeys and a host of other wildlife.
