Jackson, baffled by all the attention his new image is receiving, insists on a lifestyle change, rather than a diet, that is responsible for his weight loss.
“I got tired of being overweight and out of shape, so I switched my diet from hamburgers to yogurt and muesli and it seems to work,” Jackson told the British newspaper Daily Telegraph.
Jackson reportedly didn’t follow any specific exercise program either, but has spoken several times about his 21-hour-a-day work schedule on the set of King Kong, which undoubtedly accounted for some of the weight loss.
Jackson said he was mowing during the day and shooting at night for months, surviving on three hours of sleep. “I thought he was some kind of Superman, but he tore me apart.”
And what about Jackson’s newly discovered glasses-free state? No, unfortunately losing weight does not improve eyesight. Jackson underwent laser eye surgery, explaining that he had “gotten tired of being outside with rain and dust on his glasses.”
