Companies are offering to give you big bucks for your gold so you can catch up on those bills and have a great summer vacation. A Yahoo search on the keywords “sell gold” reveals more than five million results. Why all the interest now? Are these investors nice people who just want to help us get rid of our unwanted jewelry? Do they really care that we catch up on our bills? Is there really a goose that lays golden eggs? I do not think.
These investment companies are buying gold, not at big prices like they use, but with projected financial gains. The value of the dollar is falling as you read this article, but what do you think is happening to the value of gold? Gold shoots up. In fact, the value of gold has been increasing at a rapid rate since 2001.
What exactly do you think buyers are doing with all this “unwanted” gold? It’s not like they’re eating it for breakfast. They are waiting for the right moment to sell it and make a great fortune. Buyers are not our saviors; they are black knights disguised as greenbacks.
Although times may be tough right now, you may want to consider holding on to your gold. The probability that it will be worth much more in the future is very high.
